Hamilton Campus (Office of Academic Advising and Retention): Academic Advisor to provide accurate and current curricular information for all baccalaureate and associate degrees offered at Miami University; special focus and faculty support for the BIS, CJS and HIT majors; assist in campus retention efforts; assist with program planning and coordination for special student groups; some evening and weekend hours will be expected.
Require: master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Counseling, or related field (by date of appointment); evidence of excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication skills; ability and willingness to work occasional weekends and/or evenings. Desire: two years of post-baccalaureate experience in academic advising or other student services area in a college or university setting; experience working with an at-risk and diverse student population; strong computer skills.
