Manage accounts, territory and limited resources to achieve company revenue goals through the sale of Equinix services and products to new and existing customers. Work closely with Sales Engineers ensuring customer needs and requirements are met and to guarantee long-term customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Successfully prospect new opportunities via established relationships and cold calls. Navigate around sales barriers of entry
- Close sales to new and existing customers
- Manage long-term relationships with customers
- Leverage sales through partnerships
- Work closely with Equinix Sales Engineers, Marketing, Customer Fulfillment and Support, Sales Operations, Operations, and IBX staff
- May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Experience
- BS or equivalent in technical field
- 2-5 years proven success in selling an internet, network or website-related product or service solutions to end-users.
- Proficient with PC's to assist in lead tracking, forecasting, customer proposals, and email
- Able to operate independently and remotely
- Able to manage high-level activity. Contact with telco carriers, fiber providers, ISP, content providers, CSP is desirable
- Knowledge of Internet and Telco Industries required
- Must be able to travel when needed
