Account Executive – Underwriting – Schinnerer
Victor O. Schinnerer Company (www.schinnerer.com) is the world's oldest and largest underwriting manager of professional liability, specialty insurance, and risk management programs. We are seeking experienced underwriting professionals. Position responsibilities include: Renewing existing business and generating new accounts; determining terms and conditions for coverages and rates for program profitability; providing reports on underwriting results to senior management; building relationships withthe program clients; negotiating quotations; and ensuring that policies are issued as bound.
Texas PC insurance license desirable
5+ years combined experience in agency, brokerage and/or commercial underwriting.
Preferred areas of experience:
- Commercial Insurance Lines of business (GL, Auto, Property, Umbrella, etc)
- Texas Windstorm Insurance
- National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)
- Professional Liability and/or General Liability Underwriting experience a plus
Capable of interpreting and communicating basic insurance terms, policy forms, and rating methodology
Good oral and written communication skills
Capable of working directly with clients, carriers, and/or other retail agents
Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel
Some travel may be required
