Account Manager
The primary focus of the role is to contribute to meeting an ambitious growth target through Hong Kong and China. As an integral part of the Direct Sales Team in Hong Kong, you will collaborate closely with assigned Sales Director/s to drive sales productivity, meet sales and customer management objectives within a defined Territory.
- Meet or exceed an annual net sales target
- Build and maintain a strong deal pipeline.
- Work in partnership with assigned Sales Director/s: prospecting, renewal process, sales administration (contracts and CRM)
- Achieve your non-sales KPIs (set by the Regional Head of Sales)
- Maintain a high level of business activity, evidenced through tracking in our CRM, which includes frequency of client/prospect meetings, new proposals and other activities.
- Losses and Cancellations: minimize potential losses and cancellations. For all cancellations a post-mortem assessment will be conducted to assess the reasons why it was cancelled, as well as what could have been done differently.
Person Specification:
- Must be fluent in Mandarin and English (verbal and written). Other Languages is a plus.
- Financial data market experience
- Pro-active and assertive
- Motivated to achieve sales results through price negotiations and cross selling activities, building lasting relationships and adding value
- Articulating value propositions and solutions rather than just product feature / benefits and pricing discussions
- Strong relationship management skills and experience in a farmer role as opposed to hunter
- Expertise with renewal negotiation
- Works well in a team environment - leveraging internal stakeholders / other departments (Client Service, Product etc) to drive customer engagement and sales
- High degree of social skills / relationship management and influencing
- Comfortable influencing on telephone and face to face
- Presentable and professional
