Account Manager – NORTHERN ILLINOIS – CHICAGO LAND TERRITORY MANAGER
The Account Manager is accountable for generating sales volume within an assigned territory. Responsibilities are to be performed within the corporate strategies, goals, objectives, prescribed budgetary limits and established cost restraints. Incumbent will provide Honeywell Safety Products customers with the highest levels of product and service excellence
The sales professional will focus on our sales drivers and go after the critical market segments found in this territory which include construction, pharmaceuticals, food processing and government. Must be successful in closing sales to the prospective End User.
ResponsibilitiesA. Achieve sales volume consistent with corporate marketing strategy, goals, and targets for all Honeywell Safety products within an assigned territory.B. Continued maintenance and development of good working relationships with the distributor management and sales personnel, as well as key end user personnel within the designated territory.C. Communicate with Product Managers in maintaining the quality of products and developing new products as pertains to this Key market and/or industry.D. Provide timely and knowledgeable market information, competition, and customer needs to the Honeywell Safety Products management team as required.E. Provide timely and accurate reports, call records, memoranda and other formal documents of communication to Honeywell Safety Products management.F. Make knowledgeable recommendations regarding the appointment of new, or termination of existing distributorships in an assigned territory.G. Assure that the distributor sales force is knowledgeable in the technical attributes and applications of all Honeywell Safety Products.H. Administer all corporate promotions, programs and new product introductions.I. Forecast, direct, analyzes and evaluates sales to achieve the established objectives and assure efforts are consistent with Honeywell Safety Products long range plans.
J. Conducts seminars and training sessions to end users and distributors. Responsible for attending and assisting with working at local, regional and national trade shows in addition to participating in local and regional safety groups.The Account Manager will also work in conjunction with all key vertical support teams including Government, Strategic Accounts, Inside Sales and the Synergy Team in order to reach sales goals.Must continually monitor and improve the quality, efficiency, and responsiveness of all business activities in their territory in order to insure total customer satisfaction.
Territory - ChicagoTravel – 40% overnight
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years industrial sales experience or, in lieu of education, 6+ years of industrial sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Industrial Safety Experience
• Experience with distributor management
• Proficient in Word, Power Point, Excel etc…
• Solid Presentation Skills; public speaking• Excellent communication skills
