Account Manager, Retail Job in Sydney, New South Wales Australia

Duties/Responsibilities:

The position provides the key relationship and contact with the headquarters of second and third tier IT retail accounts as well as incorporating a business development component for emerging channels, namely AV and Telecomm channels.

The resultant flow of revenue from these accounts will be in direct correlation to the successful execution of this role.

A detailed breakdown of duties is as follows:

·         Meet or exceed sales quota on a quarterly basis

·         Accurate forecast of orders

·         Create business plan and profile to maximize sales growth.

·         Monitor and manage to the numbers, including managing the inventory stocking levels, run rates, and order rates

·         Develop strong, professional relationship with customers.  Assure maximum Logitech "mind share" and a positive relationship within the assigned account headquarters including "selling high" and "selling wide", while gaining the trust required to understand the inner-workings, needs and requirements of all departments and parties in the organization.

·         Understand the changing strategies of all business segments of the assigned accounts, find opportunities in these strategies to expand the Logitech relationship, and develop tactics to maximize the resulting revenue to Logitech.

·         Assure an understanding of, and support for, Logitech's strategy and full product line within the account.  Understand competitive product positions and market shares in the assigned account and recognize opportunities for compatible products.

·         Manage funds: Co-op advertising and MDF (marketing development funds) to assure the maximum return on investment

·         Implement programs to assure maximum promotion of Logitech products in the reseller’s company-owned, franchise, and affiliated outlets.  Such programs should ensure lead follow-up, encourage prospecting, merchandising, and knowledge of Logitech products, generate end-user awareness and interest in Logitech products, and otherwise maximize sales through.

·         Assure quick resolution of customer concerns and complaints.

·         Develop written plans as requested and quarterly presentations to executive management for the above strategies and tactics

Qualifications:

·         3+ years sales and/or marketing experience in the computer industry. 

·         Complete understanding of the industry, channels and markets. 

·         Excellent presentation and organizational skills with a talent for customer interaction at all levels.
