Job Purpose:

The job holder is responsible within a Region for the retention of ongoing relationships between ourselves and its clients, brokers and resellers that need a close local or regional relationship which can be delivered profitably and thus are not in the scope of the key accounts or the SME division.

Objectives:

To deliver sales growth targets to meet individual and team target.

To take joint ownership of the loss ratio in the Region with the Risk department and deliver a profitable result to the business.

To develop strong client relationships and create a sense of mutual trust and beneficial reliance with existing clients.

Develop the relationship between ourselves and its clients, brokers and other intermediaries, working pro-actively to a visit plan.

To develop a sound understanding of all our products and ensure the proposition is developed through all appropriate sales channels, including the Direct channel to the mid market segment.

To maximise the opportunities for all product lines, there by maximising contribution.

Key Tasks Responsibilities:

Delivery of budgeted targets for retention, cross sales and profitability of the Credit Insurance portfolio.

Manage relationships with clients Brokers.

Support to other Commercial teams to assist in the delivery of company objectives.

Ensure prudent Commercial Underwriting of Credit Insurance Business, adhering to Group and UK standards and delegations.

To personally deliver renewal revenue for the team.

Specialist Skills Knowledge:

Autonomous: able to self-motivate and focus on goals and activities while working on one's own.

Prioritisation: determines the importance of each task and allocates time accordingly.

In depth familiarity and knowledge of various contract structures in order to know how best to negotiate between price and risk.

Knowledge of current economic climate and how it affects the market.

Tarification pricing tool.

Target Market:

Companies in the mid market sector (turnover from circa £10m - £100m) within a specified region.
