Transaction Banking Solutions (TBS) is a specialised sales unit within IBM's Client Relationship Management team. Our offering delivers a robust platform for cross-selling the full suite of Institutional and Global Markets product with IBM's Total Capital solutions architecture
We provide Transaction Banking and Trade expertise to Australia's leading Corporates, delivering advice and guidance to enable clients to optimise their working capital. We are underpinned by innovative technology, industry specialisation, and a premium customer service model.
Role Purpose
- Manage a portfolio of Local clients who utilise the bank's Transaction Banking product set.
- Develop close working relationships with clients to gain a thorough understanding of the key business drivers
- Develop close working relationships with Relationship Executives to gain an intimate understanding of their clients' business/industry in order to optimise service, cross sell opportunities, client retention and profitability
Key Accountabilities
- Growing the wallet share of each client and product segment in line with strategies designated by Industry Head.
- Grow market share within the Local industry through networking, attending forums and pitching the banks value proposition and market leading industry knowledge.
- Develop close working relationships with key client executives and other staff to gain a thorough understanding of the key business drivers.
- Implementing strategies to maximise profitability of clients, enhance cross-sell ratios, and ensure client retention.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with the relevant Business Development and Product teams to optimise cross-sell opportunities and referral outcomes.
- Extract and report data relating to their portfolio of accounts to their Manager ensuring key KPI's and role objectives are in monitor on a monthly basis

Monitor and develop knowledge base around transactional banking market in terms of competition and industry changes e.g. understanding Australian EFTPOS acquiring process and keeping up to date with Scheme rules and regulations
Requirements
Essential
- At least 3 years experience in banking or related financial services, in either a client service, relationship management or sales role
- Demonstrated ability to go above and beyond to address the needs of clients
- Be innovative
- High level of problem solving capability
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to build lasting client relationships
Desirable
- Degree or diploma in a related field
