VP Finance – Leading Independent Energy Company recruitment
A leading independent power company in the UK are actively seeking a Vice President, Finance to be based in their London office. You will be joining a firm that has experienced significant growth over the last few years, and have substantial financial backing. This would be an excellent move for an experienced finance professional with direct experience in the energy trading market to join a growing and developing firm in a senior position.
In this position you will be hands-on in leading and managing a team of accounting staff, and responsible for all areas of accounting and finance. This will include developing the accounting policy, financial reporting in line with IFRS, running compliance and producing management accounts.
You should have a strong accounting background with direct experience in the energy trading market, including exposure to and involvement in electricity trading. As a result you will have a strong understanding of energy trading related accounting standards. You should also be fully conversant with UK GAAP and IFRS.
In this position you will be hands-on running a team of 16 for a firm who are rapidly developing and expanding. This is a high profile role with substantial impact on the direction of a major independent player in the energy industry.
