Transaction management
You will perform an independent commercial, credit and performance risk analysis of the proposed transaction with reference to the approved credit facilities, customer’s executed security documentation and general guidelines or bank’s procedures.
You will give comments on the feasibility/ practicality of the transactions proposed closely liaising and coordinating with various parties for credit and performance risk analysis, collateral analysis, and technical and documentary risk analysis. You will also contact the client, if necessary for clarification or exploring risk-mitigating measures.
Based on above analysis and structure, in coordination with the RM, you will raise the appropriate tickets for CU, CV, OT; obtain the relevant approvals from Front Office and delegated approvers for CU, CV; and delegation holders and to Risk Corporate (RC) for OT concurrence. You will also pass the approved transaction ticket to CFOC for processing and update the position keeping file (Economic Position) with each new deal under the appropriate credit limit, and ensure important events affecting the transaction are timely recorded and followed appropriately.
You will regularly contact clients and/or internal parties to monitor and ensure the progress of each deal until full repayment.
Management monitoring of clients’ positions
You will manage and monitor the transaction collateral throughout the life of the deal, in close cooperation with the Client, RM, and CFOC. You will follow-up on the collateral conversion cycle and collateral valuation, and liaise with clients on margins/ deposits placement and give placement instruction to CFOC or Cash Remittances. After the relevant approvals are obtained, you will provide release instruction to CFOC or Cash Remittances to perform the collateral release. You will also coordinate with CFOC for safekeeping of the original collateral titles documents (B/L or warehouse receipt)
Economic Position Monitoring
You will perform periodic reconciliation between the clients’ economic position and the Bank’s ledger. You will update prices and compute mark-to-market of positions (for stock financing, Front to Back or Unsold transactions). You will also contact the client for top up when under-collateralized and simultaneously alert the RM.
Should top up not be received as required by the credit authorization, you will escalate to the Marketing Team Head and Head of EC Collateral Management Singapore for further actions, if required.
Risk Monitoring
You will alert the RM, EC Collateral Management Singapore for any risk endangering the smooth execution of the deal and its identified source of repayment. You will pre-empt and timely escalate these risks is a key duty in the monitoring process.
Contribution to Business Development
Throughout your daily contact with clients, you will solicit new transactions within the approved and available lines. You will assist in relationship follow-up and marketing visits, whenever possible. Whenever requested, you will contribute to Credit Proposal or adhoc-memo by providing operational feedback on past financed transactions.
Permanent Control
You will contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as the Control Plan. You will comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines, and contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System.
Pre-requisites
- Degree holder
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent English writing skills (to write analysis reports in a concise, cohesive and critical manner)
- Possess good team spirit and able to work independently
- Able to thrive in a demanding work environment
