Credit Risk Analyst

Responsibilities

The successful incumbent will be joining a Bulge Bracket Investment Bank and be responsible for performing Credit Analysis on a range of China based counterparties including sovereigns, financial institutions and corporates. Whilst operating in line with bank policy and regulatory procedures, the applicant will be tasked with undertaking thorough analysis of the counterparties in order to maintain the integrity of the portfolios. This will include performing credit due diligence by means of analysis of the cash flows and performance projections whilst also presenting detailed proposals to the credit committee with recommendations for approval. Depending of the size of the portfolio, the Credit Analyst will also have credit approval authority. The successful individual will liaise closely with front office staff and ensure growth of the business is maintained by assessing and highlighting any unforeseen risks and will also monitor the portfolios to assess client and market trends.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will be a degree holder ideally in a finance related discipline from a top tier university and will have at least 5 years’ credit analysis experience with derivatives and lending product knowledge. The incumbent must have a strong background in preparing detailed and thorough analysis and have good knowledge of trading documentation and loan agreements. Furthermore, you are required to have excellent presentation and communication skills, which includes written and spoken Mandarin and English. Due to the nature of the job, the incumbent must be self-motivated, be strong interpersonally and have the ability to work under pressure with busy portfolios in a team environment.
