Accountant
Our client is looking at a numbe rof key hires for its London office and this is one of them along with the COO and the Dealers for this newly created small UK regulated brokerage business.
This role will be responsible for the following :
Corporate Accounting
- Day to day finance and accounts operations
- Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts
- Closing of accounts and preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports
Client Accounting
- Daily reconciliation of clients equity balance with clients segregated funds
- Daily settlements of excess/shortage of clients’ segregated funds
- Daily booking of clients deposits and withdrawals
- Daily booking of clients trades
- Daily reconciliation between trading system and accounting system
- Booking of commissions and rebates paid to brokers
- Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up
- Perform cash flow forecasting and budgeting for better cash management
Our client is looking for a qualified accounting with at least 3 to 5 years relevant experienc in ideally another small brokerage firm where the accountant is covering both the corporate accouning as well as the client accounting side also.
(Knowledge of Arabic is a plus but not a must)
