Manager Loans Credit Administration

City based International Bank is seeking experienced Manager in Loans and Credit Admin to drive this part of the business forward. Leading a team of 2, you will actively manage and take responsibility for the Loans and Credit Admin function within the Middle Office including to oversee, check and verify the work processed by the Loan and Credit Admin Officers as well as handling the day to day functions of the Loans and Credit Admin function.

2.Primary functions of Loans and Credit Admin include:
day to day management of the banks' loan portfolio, including process, execute and control the administration of all transactions related to the lending portfolio of the bank, which includes administering drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, rate fixings, funding, external payments and collecting and distributing fees and commissions

Take responsibility to manage the loan portfolio which is made up of loans in respect of:
- Project Finance (PF) including bilateral trade finance facilities / asset backed financing and participations in syndicated facilities
- Property finance loans
- Trade Finance loans under documentary letters of credit
- Corporate loans
- FI refinancing under Letters of Credit

*review loan documentation in respect of drawdown and subsequent queries
*manage the asset transfers/distribution and all associated agency functions required
*ensure any overdue or late payments are reported to credit in a timely manner
*ensure sufficient availability under the relevant trade facility limits, that the terms and conditions are strictly complied with and all sub-limits and transaction periods are adhered to
*Input of rates into the core banking system in required timescales
*Ensure efficient diary system is maintained at all times

Additional functions of the role, include:

*to cover for other Managers, within the Middle Office, where necessary and to the extent of the level of knowledge and experience required to carry out such function
*to assist the Head of Middle Office, in providing cover if required, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered within the Middle Office and provide assistance in other day to day functions that may arise
*to carry out and take responsibility for the day to day human resource activities in respect of direct reports including to handle the appraisals (in conjunction with the Head of Middle Office), to up skill and provide training where necessary to Transaction Management Officers, and ensure role profiles are current and correct
*to assist, where necessary, in review of loan facility documentation to ensure viable and workable structure from a loan admin perspective
*assist the Documentation Unit by reviewing and providing input in the operational aspects of the facility handovers and modus operandi instructions for loan facilities, as and when required
*to liaise with credit/risk and other teams in the referral of any excess/shortfalls/breaches of facility terms
*ensure that MO maintain and produce, as and when required relevant reports and positions for all loan facilities under the control of MO
use of the banks operating systems, including SWIFT and Flexcube; and up skill and provide training to less experienced members of the Loan and Credit Admin team and to other members of MO team where required

Skills required:

Individual requires following skills for the role:
*Excellent technical Loan and Credit Admin knowledge, including experience in an agency function
*At least 5 years experience in Loans and Credit Admin function in the financial sector
*Minimum 3 years experience in a managerial or supervisory role
*Excellent communication skills at all levels
*Very good awareness of operational risks
*Ability to react positively under pressure and identify appropriate solutions
*Ability to identify new risks and propose solutions to remove or mitigate the same
*Strong ability to work as part of a team
