Position Summary This position is responsible for the Retail store physical inventory process and Retail Shrink. This includes but is not limited to; physical inventory scheduling, reporting of preliminary and final inventory results, researching and resolving store issues, researching and understanding shrink drivers. Primary Responsibilities Support Retail stores during their physical inventory process Provide stores with best practices around inventory preparation, control and variance research as it relate to the physical inventory process Month end close responsibilities including; journal entries, account reconciliations and detailed review of shrink transactions Partner with third party to schedule and maintain the store physical inventory schedule Partner with third party to improve PI process and resolve issues Partner with Loss Prevention to understand shrink drivers and initiatives Retail Shrink reporting and analysis Prepare and distribute weekly preliminary and final physical inventory results Research and resolve daily store heat tickets Maintain Inventory Control manuals/procedures Perform Sarbanes Oxley testing procedures on a minimum of three stores per year Maintain Sarbanes Oxley documentation and ensure key controls are being met Ad hoc reporting and analysis Basic Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting Minimum 2 years of accounting experience Preferred Strong analytical and organizational skills High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access Ability to multi-task with a strong sense of urgency Excellent customer service skills
