General Manager - Sales / Logistics / Distribution £45k - £55k + bonus + benefits
Based: Norwich - Norfolk / Suffolk area
Working closely with the current position holder, the General Manager - Sales / Logistics / Distribution will take responsibility for the business within 6 months. This key role will be responsible for all aspects of sales, generating new business, order processing, customer service and distribution. The role will involve:
- Leading client meetings and managing all critical negotiations with suppliers and customers.
- Managing and optimising sales, understanding core KPI's so as to maximise profitability.
- Ensuring high levels of customer service; and managing optimum stock availability whilst minimising losses and write offs.
- Managing sales, customer service and logistics teams so as to maximise returns and secure long term growth.
Our client is a fast growing wholesaler with firm foundations in excellent customer service, employing over 20 staff and has a core business of sales, order fulfilment and distribution of consumer products.
This is a truly outstanding opportunity for you to come and learn from the existing GM prior to 'taking over the reins…' You will be a bright and commercial individual with a background spanning both managing people and business/operations - preferably in some form of sales / distribution operation. You will combine strong commercial / financial acumen with the ability to gain the most from people and win 'hearts and minds'. You will be passionate about customer service and be able to present and lead business meetings at senior level.
