The Accounting Manager, Fixed Assets is responsible for the fixed asset capitalization process and overseeing the integrity and maintenance of the fixed asset books and reporting packages.

What you need:

• 5+ years experience in accounting with an emphasis on overseeing the daily functions and reporting of Projects, Fixed Assets and Amortization sub-systems
• 5+ years of experience as a manager or supervisor
• Oracle Fixed Assets and Oracle Project applications a huge plus
• Experience with Oracle R12 desired
• Advanced Excel including: v-lookups and pivot tables
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and must be capable of working under pressure with a high sense of urgency

What you'll be doing:

• Will oversee the daily functions and reporting of Projects, Fixed Assets and Amortization sub-systems.
• Maintains SOX compliance for both Fixed Assets and Projects as it relates to Capital Policies.
• Responsible for maintaining of the fixed assets sub-ledger (capitalization, transfers, cost adjustments, retirements, etc.) including review of assets recorded in the fixed assets sub-ledger for asset lives, categories, including evaluation of depreciation expense for reasonableness.
• Will supervise, train, develop and provide leadership to two Fixed Asset Clerks.
• Participates in the reporting of the Capital Expenditures. Will assist with year-end Fixed Assets Tax reporting.
• Performs account reconciliations between Sub-Ledger and General Ledger and will identify and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Must have the ability to use various software programs to analyze data for reporting; such as Microsoft Access, Excel or Monarch.
• Assists in maintaining and updating the Oracle Fixed Assets and Project modules accordingly.
