Tri Valley large publicly traded company is looking for an Assistant Manager of Consolidations, which plays a critical role in planning and managing the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement close and consolidation process. This role delivers consolidated financial statements to senior management on a monthly basis. In this role you will gain a deep understanding of the systems and processes supporting the global consolidations process and you will play a critical role in the record to report process, including ensuring adequate financial reporting controls are working effectively You will have the opportunity to interact with various cross-functional teams, including IT, Tax Treasury, Investor Relations, Corporate Financial Planning and Corporate Communications. Develop global close / consolidation calendars and maintain process documentation Prepare and/or review various consolidated schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits, including certain financial statement footnotes Support worldwide inter company reconciliation process Maintain and update selective Sarbanes Oxley documentation and perform self-assessment testing Partner with business units to provide support for close / reporting activities and support system change request process Clearly communicate requests/changes and work with IT resources to facilitate resolutions on issues related to close / reporting issues Identify and implement process improvements as part of Continuous Improvement initiatives Assist in the implementation and communication of new accounting practices and policies If you fit the description above and are interested, please contact your Robert Half recruiter. Required Qualifications: Undergraduate Business or Accounting degree Minimum four to six years of experience, mix of public and private industry preferred Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements Strong leadership and project management skills Management financial reporting experience Strong analytical skills Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and self manage workload Ability to take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution Ability to work on cross functional activities and form solid business relationships across functions Flexible, adaptable, and proactive Ability to influence and drive change Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Desired Qualifications: CPA preferred Close process improvement experience SAP and HFM knowledge Solid ERP systems and process experience
