Accounts Team Manager

Our client, a FTSE250 organisation in Northampton, are seeking to recruit a permanent Team Manager to support the Group Procurement Accountant.  You will be responsible for supervising a team of 8 responsible for the financial control, accounting and cash collection/payment of supplier and customer rebates.

Key responsibilities:

Responsible for the day-to-day running and co-ordination of the department.
Effective prioritisation of workload within the team. 
Ensure team processes and procedures are structured to ensure accurate accounting for rebates in the financial statements, the timely collection of cash due and accurate allocation of cash received.
Review rebate payment terms to maximise any cashflow benefits. 
Review financial controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of rebates.
Set targets and objectives to manage and improve performance of the team and improve productivity.
Expert in rebate system and ensure utilised to best effect and any development opportunities identified and explored.
Key point of contact for wider business e.g. Commercial teams, Accounts Payable, branch network.
Analyse, investigate and resolve queries and discrepancies.
