The incumbent will coordinate and audit the efforts of various Accounting Analysts and/or Support Analysts involved with the completion of various specialized projects, including conversion activities, risk management, self audits, process improvement, support of unique client relationships, or unique fund/investment structures requested by clients or management. This position will focus heavily on risk mitigation, through the design, review, and support of detailed control procedures and exception reports. The incumbent will use his/her in-depth understanding of differing client structures, processes, etc. to effectively minimize risk across a wide variety of clients. S/He must be able to effectively interact with senior client and management contacts on major projects. S/He must be able to meet and exceed client and/or management goals by effectively working with staff not reporting to him/her as well as other groups, and/or clients that s/he does not normally support. The incumbent must be capable of juggling multiple projects across several internal groups and clients, requiring a great deal of flexibility. S/He will provide detailed training to more junior staff on all aspects of their control work. S/He will also use his/her significant technical skills to provide unique customized solutions to existing and prospective clients, and to improve efficiency by streamlining internal processes.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred or comparable work experience. Extensive knowledge of securities/trust accounting theories/practices and control / risk mitigation practices is required. S/He must be highly proficient with PC applications and our core on-line systems and information delivery tools. S/He must possess very strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work independently and under significant pressure while adhering to constantly changing strict deadlines. S/He must be extremely detail and control-oriented with a very strong understanding of the business risks. S/He must have very good leadership skills in order to properly motivate staff that does not report to him/her and to deal effectively with other internal groups and clients s/he may not know well. This position requires 3+ years of relevant securities and business analysis/project experience.
