Description
This position is responsible for analysing and understanding deal requirements and then building/programming computer models to reflect those requirements. The incumbent will be required to read and understand deal related legal documentation and identify the relevant details and information to enable them to create the deal model in the database using SQL, VB VBA and Access. In addition, the Analyst will provide support and ongoing maintenance for existing deal models using both bespoke and proprietary systems. Initially the focus of this role is to convert existing deals from one proprietary DB to another before progressing onto deal modelling for new business Knowledge of Microsoft Access SQL,VB VBA Skills, or similar database and query writing experience is required An understanding of the CDO product and all the financial instruments (Bonds, Loans, Swaps, etc) that a CDO can hold is preferred A demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, take full ownership of projects and work independently is required Must have exceptional analytical and organisational skills Must be able to respond quickly to critical business needs, prioritise and manage multiple tasks. Attention to detail is vital, as is accuracy whilst working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications
Required is an excellent understanding of written and spoken English University degree qualifications are preferred work experience within a financial institution is required, preferably working with CDO/Structured Finance products An understanding of fixed income products including Bonds and Syndicated Loans preferred Experience with derivative products, including Interest Rate, FX and Credit Default Swaps is preferred
