My client, a leading Investment Bank in London is seeking a Development Lead, with strong Oracle, Unix, Actimize and Informatica experience to join the development team.
You will oversee as well as perform the development/configuration of Actimize AML solution and ETL processes for data integration with multiple source systems, as well as provide 3rd line support. This role will also be to manage the development and test environments, build knowledge of the Actimize solutions, and train junior members of the team.
Key Responsibility
• Lead the Design and development in Oracle, Informatica, Actimize and scripting languages
• Work with Project/Work-stream managers to understand project and delivery requirements
• Work with the business and data analysts to evaluate requirements, and propose optimal solutions and delivery approaches that meet those requirements.
• Provide delivery estimates and highlight pre-requisites, dependencies, assumptions for the delivery
• Perform development as well as review the codebase of junior team members
• Take complete ownership of the production releases and act as gatekeeper for testing environments
• Undertake responsibility of day to day support of the AML production systems as and when required
• Liaise with vendor personnel for reviewing, scheduling and deploying deliveries assigned to them
• Gain knowledge in other compliance project areas and promote re-usability across projects
• Produce quality technical and release documentation for the benefit of the entire team
• Report progress to the Development Manager and highlight any risks/issues on a regular basis
Essential Experience
• Hands on Actimize development experience on AIS and RCM
• Excellent development background in Oracle, PL/SQL and Database Design including partition management
• Strong knowledge of Unix (Linux) environment and scripting skills
• Excellent knowledge of ETL, Data Quality Tools Integration technologies
• Experience developing ETL workflows using Informatica Powercenter
• Understanding of deployment on Java based application servers
• Java/JEE/Spring/Maven experience will be extremely useful
• Good working knowledge of Compliance/Financial Crimes domain (AML, Sanctions, Fraud)
• Problem Analysis - ability to breakdown and logically display the problem and the conceptual problem
• Quick learner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be independent and creative in approach to problems and issues
• Ability to identify, appropriately escalate issues risks consider solutions
• Strong knowledge of Actimize products like AIS, RCM and packages like SAM
• Oracle Design, Development and tuning experience
• Experience in job scheduler tools like Autosys
• Extensive understanding of End-to-end systems development lifecycle
