Actuary / Actuarial Analyst recruitment
The candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Manage the quarterly financial reporting for the eight business groups of the insurance and reinsurance segments supported by the quarterly financial reporting team for the insurance segment and the business actuaries of the reinsurance segment;
- Manage, review and execute segment and corporate projects such as reserve volatilities and inflation model on claims liabilities;
- Manage and communicate with finance, claims and actuarial for the evaluation of catastrophes and large events throughout the organisation;
- Manage, review and execute SEC reporting inclusive of 10K, 10Q and various other disclosures requirements;
- Support the senior executive team for presentation to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee, the preparation of earnings call and rating agencies¿ meetings.
- Communicate with consultants on valuation of policy liabilities of the group.
The candidate will report to the manager of the Corporate Division within the Actuarial Financial Reporting team and will work closely with teams located in the USA, United Kingdom and India.
Qualifications
- Relevant actuarial work experience within the Property Casualty insurance industry
- Undergraduate degree in Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences or related field.
- Fellowship/Student in a professional actuarial association preferably the Institute of Actuaries.
- Knowledge of financial reporting for Lloyd¿s platforms and SEC companies will be an advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of leading edge actuarial methodologies for financial reporting and capital modelling will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and management skills.
- Excellent analytical, technical and research skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills especially the ability to work well within our team environment
