The Art Institute of Fort Worth is currently seeking Adjunct and Full-Time Interactive Media Instructors for our Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interactive Media Development.

This person will instruct and facilitate meaningful learning in the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively support all facets of the learning environment. Provide career education through learner-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace. Encourage a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility, life-long learning, diversity, and ethics as well as personal and professional development.

Position Requirements:

1. Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 masters-level credits in a programming, web design, or art degree.

  1. 2 – 4 years of industry experience required.
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to act effectively as a member of a team.

5. Ability to interact successfully with academic as well as business and regulatory personnel.

6. Some night and weekend hours required.

7. Technical Competencies - Requires detailed knowledge of and demonstrable experience in web development using expert level information architecture techniques and development using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript. In addition the candidate should be familiar with capturing, editing, encoding, and Internet streaming of audio and video.

8. Knowledge of additional web technologies such as Adobe Flash, PHP, podcasting, and distribution of different media types to mobile devices is a plus.

  1. Terminal degree and previous experience in an academic environment is preferred.
