Summary: 

 
Under the direction of the Vice President Quality and Resource Management (VPQRM), provides administrative support to the President/CEO, Vice President of Patient Care Services (VPPCS), CFO, and Vice President Quality and Resource Management (VPQRM).  Provides direct supervision to the Administrative Assistant staff and oversees general office operations.  May direct the workflow of other staff, volunteers or temporary employees, as required.  Assignments involve work of a confidential or complex nature and involve handling confidential information of strategic importance.  May serve as the primary contact for internal and external customers, including Hospital and UMass Memorial Health Care System senior management and Hospital Department Managers.  This position exercises the use of discretion and independent judgment pertaining to matters of significance.

 

Qualifications: 

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office:  Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access

·        General understanding of federal, state, and DNV requirements for physician credentialing

·        Good organizational skills, with attention to detail, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Required: 

·        Associates Degree in Secretarial Science or equivalent

·        3-5 years of secretarial/administrative/office management experience

 

Preferred:

·        Healthcare experience

·        Supervisory experience

·        Additional computer software application for project management and credentialing
