Advance Welder Job in Torrance, California US
**This is a 6 months CONTRACT**
Hours: Swing Shift OT if needed
**Looking for candidates with good work history, good attendance record, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
DESCRIPTION:
**Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weld able material by applying appropriate welding techniques
** Interprets blue videos, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.
**.Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness.
**May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
** Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
** May require 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
**1-3 years GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) experience in the AEROSPACE industry, previously certified to AWS D17.1 or MIL-STD-1595.
**Must be capable of welding Inconel, Stainless Steel and Titanium alloys in the Horizontal and Vertical positions. Thicknesses will range from .016" to .125 Must be able to red and interpret Blueprints and Welding symbols.
** Lifting will exceed 30 Lbs. and/or repetitions of this or lesser weights will be significant. **Exposure to substantial machine, chemical, biological or other physical risks are anticipated.
