A&E NURSES NEEDED

Hays are urgently recruiting nurses with AE experience to work through us in and around Chesterfield. We are looking for experienced AE nurses who are flexible, adaptable and reliable, are able to commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week and are organised, confident and able to work using their own initiative.

For this role it is essential that you have:
· Post Registration Experience in an acute setting
· Development of advanced clinical skills (eg: IV Drug administration, Plastering skills, Venepuncture and cannulation)
· Assessment skills enabling prioritisation of the patient and the initiation of urgent intervention if required
· Ongoing assessment skills allowing recognition of any alteration in the patient`s condition and initiating intervention when required
· Able to prioritise own work
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Able to work within multi-disciplinary team
· Able to recognise the potential for physical or verbal violence, and to seek assistance in diffusing the situation, or to seek assistance in taking the appropriate action
· Awareness of role in a major incident and of current developments in emergency care
