About our Client
Our client is a leading dairy business with operations across the country. They possess a range of recognisable house hold brands in all dairy categories including milk, yoghurt, cream and cheese. They are currently seeking to add a talented Production Coordinator to their Melbourne team.
Job Description
Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will provide professional management for the afternoon shift, with a focus on building a strong team culture. Key responsibilities include:
- To monitor and investigate your shifts performance, understand failures and implement corrective actions
- Delivering against Health Safety, Hygiene, Quality, Manufacturing Performance and Cost targets.
- Monitoring adherence to department policies and procedures and responsible for ensuring these policies and procedures are carried out in accordance with the site requirements.
- To accommodate and deliver excellent customer service and food safety and have the foresight to plan in advance.
- Creating an environment where individuals feel able to continually challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement.
- Utilising appropriate agreed production line KPI's as a basis for the development of performance improvement plans within the department and cascade these KPI's through the teams.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a track record as a Production Supervisor / Manager within a food manufacturing environment. Chilled experience is preferable but by no means essential. Strong communication skills are essential and a desire to progress longer term within a growing organisation. Previous experience of utilising lean manufacturing principles will be highly favoured.
