Role Description

Agency Securities Lending (ASL) Product Specialist  is responsible for analyzing the requirements of the business for new client prospects / new products and ensuring that they are supported with tight Risk Management in a live environment at the earliest possible time, in co-operation with IT and Operations.  Reporting into the business, the Agency Securities Lending group is looking to add a full time person to primarily support (and in some cases originate) the sales and marketing efforts of the various groups within Deutsche Bank selling our ASL capabilities.  This will include answering RFP’s, providing bespoke marketing materials, drafting pitch books, and working on marketing and sales strategies.  The successful candidate will be required to provide support the efforts of CMTS, Financial Institutions Securities Sales, and DSS FI Sales groups assisting in a wide range of duties including, but not limited to presentations, RFP's, client reporting, revenue estimates and market research.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Working with Marketing / Sales on prospect and Client visits, and negotiating terms of business with Clients and their Custodians.   
  2. Assist in the preparation of Requests For Proposals (“RFP’s”)
  3.  Assist in the preparation of periodic client reporting packages.
  4.  Participate in Marketing / Client Service calls.
  5.  Represent Deutsche Bank at specific industry conferences.
  6. Provide the necessary support to sales in understanding and handling the various facets of a customer relationship.
  7. Develop and maintain working relationships with clients, sales, implementation and product teams.
  8. Support client training and client education of new products and services in conjunction with product management and sales.  Proactively communicate with clients on topics of interest and concern.
  9. Scoping operational and IT requirements to support new AL clients / products and liaison with the Operations and IT teams through to client go-live.
  10. Ensuring that the infrastructure is in place to support business while maintaining the tight risk management controls as soon as possible following client execution of lending agreements.
  11. Identifying areas for automation and support of strategic solutions for Front Office with Operations and IT.
  12. Liaison with Traders / Ops / IT  / Clients / Custodians to ensure that clients are implemented in the earliest possible timeframe.
  13. On-going communication with Product, Clients and Custodians to identify and implement efficiencies.
  14.  Take a lead role in determining how regulatory changes affect the Agency Lending      business i.e. Tri Party Repo Reform, issues related to Dodd-Frank
  15.   Answer queries from clients.

Additional Day-to-day duties

  1. Service clients on a daily basis with respect to all questions and needs
  2. Liaise with ASL internal divisions (trading, operations, and technology) to take care of clients' inquiries and needs
  3. Liaise with client's custodians on queries
  4. Work in longer-term projects to help to set up clients
  5. Provide reporting to clients on a regular basis.
