Tasks
Market Execution:
- To monitor and evaluate the market dynamics and price movement of the company’s strategic commodities (raw and white sugar, soybean and palm oils, and wheat), in addition to all related outside markets such as crude petroleum, ethanol, CRB Index, US dollar index, etc.
- Ongoing execution in futures and option markets based on business unit requirements as per well-established risk policies for oils and sugar
- Raw sugar futures (NY #11)
- White Premium hedging and un-hedging (In NY #11 and London #5)
- Spread Rolling in NY #11
- Hedging of soy oil and grain in CME Chicago
- Hedging of palm oil in BMD Malaysia
- Posting of Against Actual (AA) in Raw and White Sugar and vegetable oils (as applicable)
- Posting of Buyers Executable Orders (BEO) for BU customers
- Execution of Delta Neutral Trade (DNT) and adjust, monitor the structure daily
- Execution of Option trades in the Sugar and vegetable oil futures markets
- Monitoring executed hedging strategies in Sugar and vegetable oil markets
- Contributing to the efficient sourcing and hedging
Execution Reporting:
- Provision of detailed data for risk measures, positions, PL and trading strategies for line management, finance/Compliance Unit, senior management namely:
- Actual execution level is in line with execution order
- Brokers recaps are in line with execution order (reconciliation)
- Execution order is in line with Company’s authorized execution levels (reconciliation)
- Execution errors are immediately reported to Risk control/line management
- Assisting in risk and limit checking, including stress testing and validation of input parameters used of pricing models
- Executions progress (partial and complete) are reported to Company’s Business Units and line management for all futures and options on sugar and oils markets
Profile
- Minimum 2-4 years hands-on experience in trading
- Analytical skills, statistical tests, technical analysis of Agri commodities
- Understanding of sugar and vegetable oil markets
- University degree
- Strong trader acumen, with ability to assess short term opportunities and risks and read the market
- Ability to present, challenge and convince line management of his short term technical views and agree an execution strategy
- Market reading skills
- Technical analysis
- Strong interest in financial markets, relating business conditions with market movements trading positions
- Excellent Computer skills
