Agronomy Marketing Manager
Under the direction of the General Manager, is responsible to develop and implement an agronomy and Seed sales and marketing plan in the assigned territory to generate sales growth and profitable financial performance, and to supervise and provide leadership to the agronomy and Seed sales team and location managers.
Responsibilities:
Supervise, lead and develop the agronomy and Seed sales teams within the assigned territory.
Provides marketing and sales leadership for the Crop Specialists, Seed Specialists and location teams through development and implementation of agronomy and seed marketing plan.
Utilizes appropriate sales administration practices and reporting process for the purpose of measuring progress towards specific objectives.
Provides technical information for agronomy and seed sales.
Manages agronomy and seed pricing policies and utilizes risk management programs to maximize gross and service income.
Engages employees by using regular employee development plans.
Assists with market analysis to determine needs, volume potential, price schedules, and sales / marketing budget for the assigned territory.
Establishes and grows business with key accounts.
Works with Leadership Team to improve efficiencies and maximize total business growth of the organization.
Requirements:
Normally requires a Bachelor’s Degree in an agricultural- related field, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated success in developing a sales territory.
Strong proven leadership and people development skills with the ability to build and lead a successful team.
Excellent business and marketing skills.
Strong understanding and experience with agronomy products, tools, services that help grow profitable market share.
Strong work ethic with the ability and experience balancing work and life issues
Excellent organizational skills with the proven ability to prioritize activities that deliver results
Ability to work with a team and grow business by utilizing resources throughout the organization
