Aircraft Structures Engineer

Location: Calgary, AB

 

Repair Engineering Order (REO) approval including repair designs, modifications (MODSUMs) and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Authorizes concession support letters, service bulletin and recommend changes to practices utilized in the Design Approval Organization (DAO) and Type Certificate Control Organization (TCCO) and grant Material Review Board (MRB) authority to qualified staff members and MRB authority to eligible vendors. Manage REO workload and mentor junior engineers. Design changes to Type Design and review and approve major non-conformance reports (NCRs). Serve on MRB in collaboration with Quality Control. Review and approves correctives actions involving structural design changes and review Service Bulletins. Act as member of TCCB and deliver REO reports. Liaison with Transport Canada on specific TCCO functions. Act as member of the Airworthiness Control Committee (ACC) and liaise with TCCA on DAO functions. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Repair Overhaul, Product Support, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, contract Engineering Consultants, Vendors and TCCA personnel. Previous demonstrated experience with aircraft structures and manufacturing processes and detailed knowledge of the practices utilized in the Design Approval Procedures Manual (DAPM) and Type Certificate Control Manual (TCCM). Good communication skills are required to exchange information and discuss the resolution of technical problems with Engineers, Repair Overhaul, Manufacturing and Quality Control personnel.  Experience with the preparation of TCCO DAO documents. Previous experience as Delegate Engineer with Transport Canada preferred. B.Sc. /M.Sc. Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

 

Aircraft Structural Design Engineer

Location: Vancouver BC

 

Provide structural design and support for aircraft structures and systems including airframe, structures, landing gear, engine / airframe interface, hydraulic and fuel systems. Design structural repairs and drafting of engineering dispositions. Provide informal training on non-standard repairs and engineering disposition composition. Assist in technical investigations. Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering Degree with relevant experience. Experience in the design, analysis, testing and certification of aircraft structures; a high degree of technical cognizance in general structural design principles, aircraft loading actions, aircraft stress analysis and finite element methods.

 

Aircraft Structural Design Engineer

Location: Vancouver BC

 

Aircraft structure design and design modifications for aircraft installations.  Knowledge of drafting and dimensioning fundamentals for development of detail, assembly and installation drawings. Interface with engineering teams, internal /external suppliers and customers for direction and identification of requirements. Previous experience in the design, analysis, testing and certification of aircraft structures. Demonstrated experience and proficiency with CATIA and Nastran (or related) and a working knowledge of applicable regulations (FAR, JAR).  B.Sc. or M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering with related experience. Previous experience leading technical projects and /or teams an asset.

 

Aircraft Structural Integrity (ASIP) Engineer

Location: Vancouver BC

 

Aircraft structural integrity including Stress Analysis, Damage Tolerance Analysis, Finite Element Modeling, and Fatigue Analysis. Structural analysis of aerospace components using classical methods of analysis as well as finite element analysis of using modeling tools.  Experience with loads and stress analysis.  Implement engineering standards, policies, techniques, and procedures. Liaise with the project engineers and structures design group regarding stress engineering issues.  ANSYS, Nastran, Patran or CATIA experience a plus.  BS or /MS Mechanical /or Aerospace Engineering with related Aircraft /Aerospace structural integrity experience.  Experience with design /analysis software such as Nastran, Patran and CATIA.

 

Aircraft Structures Engineer

Location: Vancouver, BC

 

Aircraft structural and mechanical design modifications and repair designs. Liaison with appropriate engineering departments regarding manufacturing design changes, design data interpretation and design deviations. Develop design documents to support regulatory compliance. Management of project resources. Assist with aircraft system troubleshooting. Liaison with Transport Canada and other regulatory authorities for design approval. Understanding of regulatory procedures and processes for the approval of design deviations. Experience with CAD software such as CATIA or related.  BSc or /MSc Mechanical /or Aerospace Engineering with related aircraft structural design experience.

 

Aircraft Stress Engineer

Location: Montreal QC

 

Stress analysis and support for new primary /secondary aircraft structures. Perform analysis of aircraft structural designs including loads analysis and development of FE models. Provide substantiation compliance reports, technical support and documentation of static strength methods, analysis, tests and engineering data.  Experience with metallic and composite structures and knowledge of hand calculations and finite element techniques.  Familiar with FE post processing, NASTRAN, PATRAN, FEMAP and CATIA. B.Sc. /M.Sc. Mechanical /Aerospace Engineering with related experience.

 

Aircraft Structures Design Engineer

Location: Montreal QC

 

Structural design of metallic and composite components for aircraft structures and systems. Conceptual design /development of machined parts and knowledge of strength of materials. Knowledge of aircraft design practices and standards and previous experience with surface modeling for aircraft structures utilizing CATIA v5.  B.Sc. or M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering with related experience.

 

Mechanical Systems Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON

 

Aircraft hydro-mechanical systems product development. Coordinate technical aspects of design projects and provide technical support to manufacturing and production. Review and approve design documents such as vendor drawings, test procedures, qualification reports and certification documents. Prepare / define system specifications and requirements. Prepare technical reports to show compliance to the applicable certification requirements. Coordinate investigation and corrective action of specific in-service problems involving systems and components. Previous experience with aircraft hydraulics, landing gear and flight controls systems. Familiar with certification requirements. B.Sc. /M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering with related experience.
