Payroll Administrator Job in Spokane 99201, Washington Us


Description:
*Process timely and accurate payrolls including preparation, review and distribution of payroll. Balance payroll accounts and resolves discrepancies. Calculate out-of-cycle checks, as needed, such as manual checks for terminated employees and bonus checks.
*Edit and/or review all payroll maintenance entries and make corrections in system, as needed, prior to payroll transmission.
*Manage time and attendance system (schedules, reports, and employee data).
*Create and send exports and receive imports from various vendors and authorities (garnishments, direct deposits, etc.)Monitor all disbursement exceptions from the bank, investigate the exceptions and make sure proper resolution is accomplished.
*Prepare the monthly, quarterly and year-end reconciliation.
*Review payroll discrepancies, determine the problem and when necessary, initiate adjustments and/or recommend appropriate actions.

Requirements:
*Minimum of five (5) years of previous experience administering payroll and time entry functions. UltiPro experience preferred.
*Member of the American Payroll Association or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
*Comprehensive knowledge of HR/Payroll systems, Time and Attendance systems and Reporting Tools. UltiPro and Cognos preferred.
*Knowledge of federal/state/local wage/hour and payroll tax laws required.
*Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
*Ability to appropriately handle confidential information is essential.
*Ability to lead and establish rapport with a diverse customer base, both internal and external.
*Strong organizational and time management skills.
