AML Risk & Controls Manager

Position Summary:

The AML Risk Controls Manager leads a team of Quality Assurance/Risk Analysts and Operating Group Leads responsible for ensuring compliance and effective operational risk controls in accordance with our client's and regulatory standards and policies.  This role oversees the risk assessment process, which includes identification of sources of risk and evaluation of the effectiveness of controls in relation to those risks.  The AML Risk Controls Manager measures inherent risk associated with products, services, customers, and geographic locations within each Line of Business, and communicates risk exposure to management in order to develop appropriate policies, procedures, and processes to monitor and control AML risk.  The role provides guidance to Lines of Business on addressing AML and OFAC risk management issues and implementing initiatives to address them.  The role is also responsible for maintaining the U.S. AML Quality Assurance program to ensure that AML requirements are maintained at a level commensurate with regulatory expectations.  The AML Risk Controls Manager assesses and improves established processes to gain efficiencies and reviews program metrics to identify trends which may signal control breakdowns.

Qualifications:

7+ years of prior experience in a AML compliance role
3+ years experience in a management role
Bachelor's degree
Maintain, or are pursuing an AML-related certification (e.g., CAMS)
Expert knowledge of AML and OFAC regulatory requirements
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experienced presenter, with excellent communication skills and ease interacting with Senior and Executive level management
