Customer insights are at the heart of our One Company, One Customer vision and are guiding the enterprise on our journey to becoming a high performance, customer-centric organization. Customer insights will directly influence every decision we make about serving and activating our customers.
With this in mind, the Customer Analytics Centre of Excellence (CACE) has a mandate to champion the adoption of customer insights across the CTC enterprise.
The broad objectives of the CACE Customer Analytics (CCUS) team are to:
· provide customer analytics services to the broader CTC organization
· support the development and integration of customer insights into everything we do
· unite and leverage customer analytics competency across the organization
· enable sharing of customer information across the enterprise
· empower business groups to adopt customer insights into their operations
· nurture and grow the business value of customer information as a valued enterprise asset
· provide strategic direction on the management and use of customer information
 
Position Summary:
The Customer Analytics Analyst reports to the Manager, CACE Customer Analytics. This position is responsible for developing and delivering customer segmentation and profiling analyses, analyzing customer Retail spend behaviour patterns, and creating customer benchmark and dashboard reports (across CTC).
 
Job Responsibilities:
- Works directly with peers within Analytical, Retail, Business Category, and Customer Strategy roles to develop and deliver a deeper understanding of our customers
- Applies curiosity and skills to clarify business, data and analytical issues and helps develop appropriate solutions
- Uses programming skills to analyze customer data, product sales and program execution
- Formulates plans to address customer needs, including development of customer strategies, direct marketing programs, and/or retail-sales driven promotions
- Manages multiple work assignments in a fast paced, ever-changing business environment

Must Have: 
- Minimum undergraduate degree in an analytical area (e.g.: Math, Statistics, Business, Operations Research, Finance or related)
- Experience in Retail analysis and/or marketing and/or financial analysis
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to translate business needs into analytically sound solutions
- Work experience with database programming (SAS, SQL, MS Access, etc.)
- Demonstrated significant curiosity and experience in regard to questioning and understanding consumer behaviour
- Strong priority and project management skills
 
Assets:
- Customer Retail or Credit Card analytics experience
- 2-3 years programming experience in SAS or SQL
- Experience working with retail sales data or category business planning strategies
- Experience with direct-to-customer marketing campaign processes and strategies
- Knowledge of predictive modeling/data mining software (e.g. SAS)
- Experience in the application of customer segmentation and profiling strategies
