Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) is responsible for the management of the Government Pension Fund Global and the Foreign Exchange Reserves. The portfolios are valued at more than NOK 3500 billion and invested in international fixed income, equity and real estate markets. NBIM is seeking a dedicated and results oriented professional with deep knowledge of financial theory to further strengthen the Fund Asset Management group.
The Fund Asset Management group is part of the Allocation Strategies department. Allocation Strategies manages the Fund’s overall exposure towards asset classes and risk factors and consists of four groups with dedicated portfolio managers, investment analysts, and researchers.
Fund Asset Management implements the department's desired portfolio exposures and manages the department's risk. The group follows selected shorter term investment strategies.
Your role will be to research and operationalize investment strategies as well as participating in the allocation process.
The position is located in London and travel will be required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop investment models based on relevant internal and external research
- Evaluate and propose prospective positions
- Execute and manage Allocation Strategies’ positioning across various risk factors
- Produce reports on portfolio activity, risk and performance
- Actively research relevant investment topics
- Contribute to a hardworking, high-performing team
Main Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent with strong academic records
- 3-5 years of experience from portfolio management or investment analysis
- Desire and capacity to succeed in global investments
- Strong numerical and problem-solving capability
- Advanced user of Excel/VBA, SQL or other data modelling tools
- Strong communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English
