Analyst/ AVP – Portfolio Value Creation, PE recruitment
This is a role that combines both value creation and monitoring of the portfolio companies that the PE team has invested in on a global mandate across all different sectors. Due to the large fund size, we are seeking to add a new headcount in the Portfolio Management arm of this Private Equity team based in Singapore.
This is an excellent role to get more accountability for yourself instead of doing pitching all day, and a chance to influence and impact existing investment strategies undertaken by the portfolio companies.
As an Analyst/AVP in the Portfolio Management team, you will be responsible for
- Exploring and developing opportunities for in-portfolio, cross-asset value creation and enhancement through mergers acquisitions, divestments and other strategic alternatives by engaging with the C-level executives of holding companies on the portfolio which spans across all sectors and on a global mandate
- Monitor and track the market and operational performance of key portfolio assets on an on-going basis with a view to identify cross-asset value creation opportunities
- Participate in the in-depth review of key portfolio companies from both a strategic and financial perspective and contribute towards enhancing their value
- Analyse and develop the case for possible transactions that may emerge from the review of key portfolio companies, and to participate in the execution of these transactions where applicable
Qualifications/Capabilities
- About 2-5 yrs of corporate finance, MA or private equity experience in a global investment bank, private equity firm or top tier consulting firm ideally based in an Asian context
- Experience in working with Asian clients will be a critical factor for success in this role
- Strong corporate finance, MA, modeling and/or accounting skill sets is needed as you will be expected to build financial models
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the maturity to work with different stakeholders and engage senior mgt and external parties in Asia especially
- Ability to deal with a highly fluid envrionment with varying roles and responsibilities in any given time
- Mandarin is a plus
