ABOUT THE BUSINESS:

Corporate Financial Services (CFS) is part of the Business and Private Banking (BPB) business unit of the Commonwealth Bank. The CFS team serves over 12,000 clients with complex financial needs for businesses with turnover greater than $10m p.a. The division is well placed to provide medium and large sized companies with access to a wide range of financial services with approximately 800 professionals in nearly 50 locations across Australia.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Client Acquisition Advisory (CAA) team is the business development group that sits within CFS. CAA is a long established national team focussed on origination of new clients who are Medium to Large private companies or small Publicly Listed entities with turnover ranging from $50m to $500m.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with a strong customer focus to support the CAA team in analysing, structuring and modelling complex financing solutions, with particular emphasis on pure cashflow lending transactions of $20million+.Providing strong analytical support is critical to achieving the overall team targets and assisting our Sales Executives to support businesses achieve their financial and business goals.

DUTIES:

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will have a strong commercial acumen, risk management knowledge, and previous experience in considering business and market risk, financial modelling (strong excel skills), writing and analysing credit transactions. The successful candidate will have the ability to quickly grasp complex transactions, understand the client's needs, and will ideally have previous credit risk experience for newly originated clients or corporate finance experience in a major financial services/accounting firm. You will have the ability to work effectively in a team environment, will be driven with a CAN do attitude, as well has having sound relationship management and strong communication skills. A degree in Business/Finance and/or Commerce is preferred.
