Systems Accounting Analyst (Part Time Contract)
The Systems Accounting Team has been established to monitor and develop robust and controlled financial processes, ensuring financial integrity to the General Ledger.
Theyprovide technical expertise as to the operation of financial systems, ensuring system development meets business needs and identifying and recommending areas for improvement.
Your responsibilities:
- Analysis of financial systems (PAS/General Ledger/Hi Port/Other) related processes and interfaces between these used by the department
- Investigate and resolve issues
- Identify and recommend system changes which will eliminate manual interventions, improve data integrity within and between systems and/or otherwise simplify the financial processes
- Develop detailed documentation of systems architecture and the nature and parameters of data interfaces
- Monitor and report on controls over the integrity of data transfers and interfaces between financial systems
- Represent Finance as a stakeholder on projects
Your skills experience:
- Preferably CPA/CA qualified
- Sound financial services industry experience
- Ability to analyse complex financial and reconciliation/control scenarios
- Understanding of policy administration systems (PAXUS, Life/400, Calibre, Capital, I90, and KLASS, HI Portfolio - PeopleSoft GL etc.)
- Business analysis experience including requirement gathering/UAT/SDLC
- Proficient in SQL queries and writing query sets to gather analytic insights from the Finance Data Warehouse
