Corporate Financial Services (CFS) is part of the Business and Private Banking (BPB) business unit of the Commonwealth Bank. The CFS team serves over 12,000 clients with complex financial needs and businesses generally have turnover greater than $10m p.a. The division is well placed to provide medium and large companies with access to a wide range of financial services with approximately 800 professionals in nearly 50 locations across Australia.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is an outstanding opportunity for an Analyst with a background in commercial and corporate banking to join our Commercial team in Laverton, Victoria. With a portfolio of nearly 50 commercial clients, we are looking for an individual with a strong customer focus to assist our relationship executives in empowering our clients to achieve their financial goals. Working within our SME and middle markets, this highly visible role will operate from one of our major corporate banking centres located in Laverton and combine analysis, account management and proactive relationship development.
DUTIES:
- Researching, analysing and developing a comprehensive database of client/industry specific information, ideas and solutions
- This entails undertaking financial modelling and analysis
- Assessing the risks/opportunities on new lending, as well as assessing the risks associated with increases in client credit.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate will have previous experience in writing and analysing credit transactions in Business, Commercial and/or Corporate banking ideally, as well as completing annual reviews and reporting. You will have the ability to quickly grasp complex transactions, understand the client's needs, and analyse the benefits of the idea of specific client circumstances. You will be analytically minded, and have strong financial/credit analysis skills while having the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will be driven, highly organised and goal orientated with a CAN do attitude, as well has having sound relationship management, communication and financial modelling skills. A degree in Business/Finance and/or Commerce is an advantage.
