Analyst Equities Technical Validations

This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate or someone with a few years experience with a strong technical background (financial engineering, statistics, financial mathematics, quantitative) to join a dynamic business in Hong Kong
The Equity Validation Team ensures that booking correctly represents termsheet. It is responsible for capturing and requesting booking correction on a timely basis. Equity Validation Team is seen as the expert in terms of valuation issue, model appropriateness and booking methodology.
Validations, Structured Trade Reviews (STRs) and Trade Bookings:
- Responsible for validation and structured trade procedure for structured products, ensuring completion on timely basis.
- Understand the system and control framework to ensure validation processes are followed and performed to high standard (in conjunction with policies).
- Discuss and resolve issues technical issues with traders and other internal departments.
- Perform STRs on new products and new variants of existing product.
Straight Through Processing:
- Attend forum to feedback issues and recommendations.
- Liaise with IT, Traders, Middle Office and Market Risk to resolve issues independently.
- Responsible for testing, with emphasis on the valuation.
Technical Support:
- Provide advice to Traders, Middle Office and Product Control teams on technical or booking issues.
Experience:
- Technical University Degree(Maths, engineering…) – ideally Masters and Bachelors
- Institutional knowledge of investment banking
- 0 – 3 years experience with derivatives products
- Good understanding of control procedures
- Proactive and assertive in driving control improvement
