Australia is a priority market for HSBC's Global Banking business and we are currently seeking an experienced Analyst to join our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team. Reporting to the Head of FIG, this role presents a rare opportunity to develop your career with Australia's leading international bank.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Act as primary point of contact for operational and administrative matters for clients and internal colleagues
- Establishing strong relationships with the client's management support team and providing a single point of contact for queries across the portfolio;
- Liaising with members of the client service team, ensuring a co-ordinated approach to enhancing the client relationship; Assisting Relationship Managers with marketing opportunities, undertaking appropriate analysis and providing input into preparation of credit proposals, presentations and pitches for new products and services;
- Assisting in undertaking of annual reviews and keeping Credit / Risk appraised of developments as they pertain to our clients and industry;
- Monitoring income generation and effectively managing the financial reporting and analysis for the client portfolio;
- Undertaking return calculations, both at a transaction and relationship level;
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of individual global client plans and providing high quality industry sector, competitor and client level analysis to support the credit application process, where required.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role you will require:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline;
- At least two years' experience in a client support team or as an Analyst within a similar Corporate or Institutional Banking function;
- An understanding of risk management and credit mitigants;
- Financial analysis skills and the ability to undertake in depth review of industry, competitors, client and products and provide a high quality analysis of credit risk;
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder management skills, both internal and external;
- The ability to liaise across multiple levels of business and client, with a positive and proactive attitude;
- Knowledge of the spectrum of Institutional Banking products and services would be beneficial.
