Job Description The Localized Pricing Team Analyst is responsible for creating maintaining, and enhancing streamlined analytic reporting processes using information from multiple data repositories and sales transaction systems. This person will also assist the pricing modeling and process/analysis teams in retrieving data from these systems . This role will also work with other business units throughout the organization to understand each unit?s unique approach of determining item prices, creating promotional offers, and subsequent measuring sales results. This knowledge will then be used to source the appropriate data and develop the analytic reporting process to support various localized pricing initiative. Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ? Build processes to automate and expedite generation of reports and metrics. Act on new business requests for information and reporting. ? Be able to build a new process based on a business request and then transfer that knowledge to other team members of varying technical skills (i.e. develop a SQL query to retrieve desired data and then teach other team members how to run/modify that query on their own for their needs). ? Research / resolve data errors and discrepancies to align numbers with other reporting mechanisms ? Develops partnerships across the business and functional areas of the organization ? Understands and prepares as-is and to-be processes to streamline and automate decision points ? Fosters teamwork and works well in a collaborative team environment ? Performs ad hoc analysis as requested KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Education/Training ? Bachelors degree from four year college or university Experience? 2-5 years professional experience in analytics, business analysis, or software development. ? Inclination for data management topics, i.e., ability to grasp technical concepts in business intelligence, data warehousing, master data management, and metadata. ? High degree of business acumen with a pro-active approach to problem solving and a can-do attitude. Role specific abilities/skills ? Solid understanding of relational database concepts, Strong grasp of SQL. ? Programming experience in UNIX/LINUX environments using shell scripting or Perl in regards to import, export, and transformation of data. ? Ability to work in a team environment with people of varying technical skills. ? Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as BusinessObjects and or MicroStrategy. ? High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. ? Highly skilled in problem solving especially in situations of high ambiguity. ? Active curiosity?Must enjoy gathering and digging deeply into data to identify issues and solve problems. Strong work ethic complemented by a positive, can-do attitude. ? Excellent communication skills: Listening, verbal and written. Years Experience 2 - 5 Years Experience Preferred Minimum Education Bachelors Level Degree Travel Requirements On Occasion (Less than 5%)
