Analyst, Operational Strategy and Planning

Role Overview

The Operational Strategy and Planning department has a team of around 8 staff covering the following areas:

· Strategy Planning - responsible for formulating Bank and departmental operational performance objectives and targets, coordination of production of strategic documents including the Capital Resource Review and Annual Business Plan, and the appraisal of the Banking Department in terms of their performance to Business Plan objectives.

· Management Information - providing regular reporting and analysis of Banking operations to Portfolio Senior Management and to the Board of Directors.

· Systems - including the maintenance, development and data reconciliation of the Deal Tracking Module (DTM) and the Time Management System (TMS). The team also maintains and produces all Business Performance Navigator web reports (including the BMOR suite of reports) and the Glossary of Banking Terms

The Analyst role involves providing analytical and technical support to the Operational Strategy and Planning function with a particular focus on data warehouse reporting.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

· Production and maintenance of data warehouse reports providing operational information required for management information reporting and scorecard performance monitoring;

· Assist in the timely communication of management information via the development of data content and deployment of data warehouse reports on the Bank's Business Performance Navigator intranet portal;

· Collaboration with other departments to assist in the development of scorecard indicators underpinning the institutional scorecard and the management scorecard objectives or any other reporting requirements;

· Operational data integrity related investigations;

· Development of tools to monitor data integrity of operational data within the data warehouse reports.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications

· Minimum three years' experience in management information roles within 'blue chip' or professional organisations.

· Extensive experience of data mining (preferably using Cognos tools), relational and multidimensional databases.

· Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced formulae, macros, VBA).

· Working knowledge of web development including HTML, javascript would be an advantage.

· Attention to detail and eye for accuracy.

· Good degree from a leading university in the country of education.
