Intern, Data Management and Reporting
Role Overview
This position is offered as an internship for a minimum of 6 months, with possible extension to 12 months.
Risk Management has an on-going requirement to manage and report on data for a variety of clients relating to banking and treasury assets. One of its key aims is to ensure that the Bank's portfolio remains of high credit quality, and to minimise any losses that the bank may suffer as a result of credit quality deterioration.
Data Management and Reporting (DMR) is a team within Risk Policy Reporting, which itself is part of Risk Management.
The Teams primary function is aimed at managing Risk data and systems in order to support Risk and other stakeholders throughout the bank. DMR achieves this through implementation and management of effective and innovative processes and procedures to govern quality data, analysis on the Banking and Treasury portfolios and effective reporting solutions developed to support business needs.
This position covers the overall (whole bank) aspect of DMR's work, involving considerable product and aggregate complexity as well as projection/stress analyses.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
Data Maintenance/ Reporting / Analysis
- Assist in key Risk Data Input. Involves working closely with other Risk credit units.
- Information gathering and research for the Director and Heads of Teams and then compiling reports to present the findings.
- Run adhoc reports (Cognos 8 and SAP BI) as required.
Systems / Processes / Procedures
- Reconciliation, review, research, maintenance and analysis of risk data and exposures in the Bank's internal systems (DTM, SAP BP/LM, Summit, PMM, TFP, AFL).
Essential Skills, Experience Qualifications
- Minimum education to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a numerical/science-based subject, from good quality institution.
- Excellent general IT skills including Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint.
- Up to a year's experience in data management and reporting role an advantage.
