Serve as resource to ensure that all team members are providing superior customer service and delivering on operational expertise goals. Provide central point of contact for all Payroll Specialists for processing questions regarding any pay practice or procedure. Provide first intake support and analysis for systems issues or processing delays that might inhibit or result in payroll's ability to generate accurate or timely pay. Responsible for streamlining and improving processes, increasing resolved-on-first contact issues, reducing escalated tickets and improving relationships with internal HR Operations and external customer base. This position will create and deliver training or process updates to payroll team as necessary to ensure adoption and standardization. Independently work with cross functional teams to communicate payroll data requirements, provide subject matter expertise or communicate process changes as necessary. Assist and support Payroll Manager in monitoring/distributing workload and implementing new processes/projects. Ensure the timely and accurate handling of remedy tickets. Monitor incoming Remedy tickets and take proactive steps to ensure that work is completed within SLAs, Monitor Payroll Daily Reports library to ensure 100% timely completion by the Specialists Provide technical and functional support to internal and cross functional resources. Study trends, implications and provide analysis and recommendations to improve data quality, service levels and efficiencies. Monitor escalation and notification process, provide assistance and make recommendations. Communicate status of escalated issues to Payroll Manager if not resolved same day. Publish/Analyze statistics to assist with the development and implementation of business processes, process improvements, and customer service delivery strategies. Identify trends and root causes that may help improve results. Provide recommendations to management. Audit Functions - Complete daily Manual Check copy audit to confirm checks issued reflect original request, Audit payroll batches and manual check back-up, and facilitate completion of pre and post transmit audits using SAP queries and Access databases. Review completion of Garnishments and check for accuracy. Manage the overpayment and collection process in accordance with state regulations. Provide training to payroll team and status reports and data analysis to management. Assist in developing training and documentation for the Payroll Knowledge Center. Coordinate editing and posting of documentation to relevant software platform. Primary point of contact for International Payroll processing. Work directly with Global Mobility team to create/identify processes that need improvement or need to be established in order to deliver a seamless on-boarding experience. Work directly with all levels of expat/inpat population. Serve as primary payroll point of contact for both groups. Support primary transmit responsibilities including actual transmit and receiving of payroll files, Singlepoint processes, and expediting/responding to incoming mail in Payroll team mailboxes. Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
