Analyst, Planning Systems
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and analysis combined with an understanding of applicable planning systems and requirements. Responsible for defining business requirements and designing programs/applications to meet user needs. This position prepares functional and technical specifications and is involved in the development and support of new and existing processes. Develops and revises documentation as necessary.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Organize, understand and carry out all Enterprise Planning administrative tasks
• Communicate business and planning objectives to users
• Ensure that planning time frames are met
• Establish a checklist for task completion
• Establish review meetings
• Coordinate the planning process
• Establish and communicate time frames to end users and to the Technical Administrator (who will then communicate with MIS for data)
• Communicate the data needs of the users to MIS with time frames in which the data is required
• Ensure the overall data integrity between the data source, AIM database and planning environments.
• Ongoing development and maintenance of product, calendar, organization and measure dimensions at the completion of the project.
• Training responsibilities for on going support of users/help with questions and problems
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in analysis, building models, reporting and budgets
• Previous analytical experience in supply chain planning and analysis and inventory management
• Intermediate Excel skills and able to create simple VBA code in reports
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL. Familiarity with Business Objects and replenishment/planning systems (preferred).
• Ability to create and modify queries, workbooks, and end user reports within SAP BEx business intelligence
• Aptitude to analyze discrete data to identify trends, issues and opportunities
• Ability to work on complex tasks with minimal supervision and formulate/refine problem definition independently
• Effective in communication skills at multiple levels, including senior management, within the organization
