Analyst, Infrastructure
To support the growth of AustralianSuper’s direct investment strategy we are seeking an Infrastructure Analyst who will work within the Infrastructure Investments team to assist in transactions and ongoing portfolio management. A core function of the role will be the development and testing of financial models for potential acquisitions. In addition the role will require working within the transaction team to assist in other transactional elements such as monitoring the assets within the infrastructure portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Investment Manager this role represents an outstanding opportunity to help develop and evolve our direct investment model.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Analysing infrastructure investments through examining and testing the financial models
- Assisting in broader due diligence activities relating to infrastructure transactions
- Analysing and reporting on investment performance within portfolios and of specific assets
- Developing relevant models to analyse expected future performance of the portfolios and specific assets
- Providing analytical support to the Portfolio Heads for developing and implementing Portfolio Strategies.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong excel skills and the ability to test and examine financial models
- An understanding of Infrastructure investments - equity or debt.
- Preferably experience within a fund management or investment banking environment.
- A strong attention to detail and ability to challenge.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management capabilities.
- An ability to think outside the box to deliver value.
- A hands on and operational approach.
