About our client
This is an opportunity to work with a leading balance sheet investor focused on credit investment including primary, secondary and distressed investing. The team takes significant positions and holds the investments. It is extremely active and you could expect to work on four or five completed transactions in your first year.
Responsibilities
- Key responsibilities will include detailed analytical and commercial analysis. Similar to a private equity investment role you will need to take deep dives into the data and come up with your own interpretation of the opportunity. You will need to be able to form your own opinion and discuss it with your colleagues. The team is collaborative and supportive and engages all team members in the investment decision making process. You’ll then work on the execution of the transaction and be exposed to all parts of the process. The firm is well-funded and the team has significant funds available to invest.
Skills we’re looking for
- Fluency in French is preferred; exceptional candidates who are fluent in German, a CEE-language or a Scandinavian language may also be considered
- Analyst work experience from private equity, MA, leveraged finance, DCM and consulting
- Candidates must be able to build an LBO model from scratch and should have well-developed financial modeling skills
- Strategic and commercial acumen
