ANTI MONEY LAUNDERING OFFICER – AVP recruitment
Act as the AML Officer for the Hong Kong business and ensure that Hong Kong financial crime legislative and regulatory requirements are addressed and the Account Opening standards are complied with. Ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of jurisdictional requirements. Strong in advising business on client risks. Expertise with an international and Asia based client base. Strength in client knowledge and dealings where the clients come from higher risk and emerging locations, especially Greater China. Experience of working and leading a business facing team, where that team gives advise to the business on clients. Track-record of operating strategically in that they can review financial crime and feedback from businesses and identify trends which need attention and ability to pre-empt those trends. Hands-on AML transaction monitoring and sanctions compliance work.
To qualify for the position, you should be a University graduate with a minimum of 5 years experience in Compliance, AML, sanctions function of finance sector. Competent assessment skills utilising information from both internal bank sources and external sources. Advanced user of Microsoft Office packages. Ability to prioritise and manage demanding workloads. Sound technical skills in international AML and Sanctions regulations. Proven track record at running global financial crime programmes. Potential leadership and people management and development skills. Excellent communication skills. Extensive anti-money laundering and banking experience in Hong Kong Private Banking financial services. Proven track record of working to deadlines. Strong organizational skills. Ability and confidence to make business critical decisions.
