A stand-out opportunity exists for a senior executive to drive media relations strategy across the Asia Pacific region for the bank’s Markets business
Responsibilities
- Create, lead and execute superior media relations strategy across the Asia Pacific region
- Collaborate with local, regional and global communications teams, providing strategic advisory on all issues relating to the bank’s Markets media strategy
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and leaders within the local and regional businesses to define all key messages ensuring alignment with corporate objectives
- Develop a proactive and reactive issues management strategy, utilising superior media management techniques to ensure all dialogue is delivered appropriately and on message
- Form and maintain constructive partnerships with local, regional and global media and traders throughout the region
- Direct the global network of pr agencies and external vendors to execute strategy, monitoring and evaluating performance accordingly
Requirements
- 15+ years experience in corporate communications within the financial services industry, preferably with sound experience in an investment bank
- Excellent knowledge of global markets and trading, with a credible reputation within this industry
- Journalism and/or media relations expertise essential with experience in a regional media relations capacity
- Experience leading aggressive issues management strategy and managing media through turbulent times
- A tertiary qualification in journalism / communications or related discipline with an MBA preferred
